THE STORY OF TRADITIONAL
AFRICAN BLACK SOAP

Black soap is hand-crafted by women cooperatives in the north of Ghana (Tamale) where all ingredients come from there too: Shea butter; coconut oil; palm kernel oil and cocoa pod potash.

The ingredients are cooked together with water (hot saponification process) and the soap is then pressed into 5kg tablets and either sold in 20kg cartons or as crumbles.
