Wechiau Numbu Processors Cooperative was born out of the famous Wechiau Community Hippo Sanctuary, a unique community-led tourism initiative.

The sanctuary not only protects wildlife but also empowers women through economic opportunities.

The women in this cooperative are united by a common goal: producing high-quality shea butter and improving their lives especially with the support of SFC. They strictly follow processing rules and quality standards to ensure excellence in every batch.

And here’s the most heartwarming part — thanks to their work as a cooperative, many of these women are now able to sponsor their children’s education! That’s the power of women working together for a better future.
